TIVAR® materials are UHMW-PE based engineering polymers used to solve problems related to friction, wear, material flow and corrosion.

TIVAR® polymers are produced using state-of-the-art compression moulding technology. The TIVAR® range of specialised UHMW-PE products are a diverse group of high performing plastics. Designed to provide specific solutions to tough problems in demanding applications, with superior wear resistance and part life in both wet and dry environments.

TIVAR® (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene or UHMW-PE) offers a comprehensive range of engineering plastics designed for various applications. Here are some notable TIVAR® materials and their specific uses:

TIVAR® 88: Known for its low coefficient of friction and excellent chemical resistance, making it ideal for bulk material handling.

TIVAR® 1000: A general-purpose UHMW-PE with excellent wear and abrasion resistance, suitable for food processing and handling due to its FDA compliance

TIVAR® BurnGuard: A flame-retardant and static dissipative material with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.

TIVAR® Dryslide: With an internal lubricant built into the polymer matrix with higher molecular weight, offers a lower coefficient of friction and enhanced wear and abrasion resistance. The additives used also make this material static dissipative and considerably improve UV-resistance.

TIVAR® Ceram P: A self-lubricating, glass-filled UHMW-PE designed for high load, high-speed, and severe sliding applications.

TIVAR® CleanStat: Provides anti-static protection, making it suitable for conveyor components and assemblies in industries like explosives, munitions, and chemical plants2.

KALCOR® – zirconia corundum characterized by high temperature and abrasion resistance

ABRESIST® – fused cast basalt for friction induced abrasion

KALCRET® – cast, trowelled or spray on hard compound material

KALMETALL-W® – metallic based materials for high impact and abrasion wear
